Nearly 50 supporters joined us today to rally and celebrate the grand opening of our new campaign headquarters at 2599 East Henrietta Road, located in the former Tanning Bed location at the Beers of the World Plaza.
Special guests joining the Henrietta Democratic Committee at the rally were Assembly Member Harry Bronson, Sandy Frankel for County Executive, Matt Nafus for New York State Supreme Court, and Monroe County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Jamie Romeo.
For the first time since 2009, we are fielding a full slate of candidates for Town Board and Supervisor. The new 2015 candidates include:
- Michael Yudelson for Henrietta Town Supervisor
- Robert Barley, Jr. for Henrietta Town Board
- Michael Stafford for Henrietta Town Board
- Simeon Banister for Monroe County Legislature, District 13
- Maggie Ridge for Monroe County Legislature, District 12
- Monroe County Legislator Justin Wilcox, District 14
Excited by the resurgence of the Henrietta Democratic Committee, many look at Henrietta as best positioned for Democrats to pick up seats. Democrats maintain an advantage over Republicans in voter enrollment in the Town of Henrietta, 7,915 vs. 6,971 as of May 1, 2015 (per Monroe County Board of Elections).
“The opening of this headquarters is a signal to this community that we’re here and ready to stand tall for the values Henrietta represents,” said Simeon Banister, Henrietta Democratic Committee Town Leader and candidate for Monroe County Legislature (District 13). “We’re going to work hard to make sure we elect Democratic candidates that support lower fees and taxes, integrity in office, and effective government with better services.”
“Our new headquarters is a rallying point for all the supporters that have been coming out to our events and meetings,” said Michael Yudelson, the Democratic candidate for Henrietta Town Supervisor. “Residents are ready to make a change and undo the harm the current administration has done to this community.”
