After decades of inactivity, the Henrietta Democratic Committee is reorganizing. To kick off this long-term process of revitalizing the Democratic Party in Henrietta, the Henrietta Democratic Committee will hold a Family Picnic with free food and drinks on Thursday, June 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. The picnic will be held at the Roberts Cabin in the Henrietta Town Park on Calkins Road.
“This event will be primarily social, but it will also help us spread the word that our Committee will be an active and highly functioning entity for the first time in many years,” stated Simeon Banister, one of the leaders of the effort to revitalize the Committee.
Banister added, “We want to ensure responsive, open, and respectful government in Henrietta. We invite anyone who shares those interests to join us for this picnic and future events, whether or not they are currently enrolled as Democrats.”
The Committee also recently launched a brand new web site at www.henriettadems.org. People may RSVP for the picnic by going to the Henrietta Dems website and clicking on Picnic by June 16, or by calling 585-764-1316 for reservations or with any questions.
